These events have been designed to encourage community involvement with children while offering kids a safe and entertaining evening. Donations for the event send the young children and teens to see a sporting event, receive goodies and a meal pack. The next event will be during football season, and program officials are looking for partners.
The meal includes a hotdog, chips and drink. While the kids are there, they enjoy participating in all the activities that surround athletic events.
“This is a great opportunity for the children of our community, the businesses of our community and a wonderful opportunity for UNT and NCTC to work together for a great cause,” said NCTC Dean Roy Culberson.
During the first community outing, North Texas won in overtime over Florida Atlantic 66-57.
